Background:
The Development Program Division closely works with country program team in identifying, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects and program in collaboration with local, national and international partners.
It focuses on the Recovery and Development of strategic areas and support communities to develop a sustainable livelihood, coherent Islamic micro finance system, food security, water sanitation, social cohesion and community based infrastructure projects to support communities affected by conflict, civil war, natural and man-made disasters. The overall objectives of the development division are to alleviate poverty and suffering of human kinds by providing them with long term sustainable program in collaboration with international donors, INGOs and UN agencies.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
To support participants to develop confidence and skills to maximize their livelihood.To support beneficiaries to undertake livelihood development opportunities and provide intensive personal support individually and in group settings.To work closely with stakeholders to empower environment them through identifying existing skills, strengths and abilities and develop resilience.To use the Sustainable Livelihoods approach to support and encourage beneficiaries to maximize their existing strengths and develop new skills.· Develop and implementation plan and ensure the effective tracking of the project · Develop an action plan strategy for the implementation stage of this project to ensure the effectiveness of a collaborative service system approach Support beneficiaries to identify local resources opportunities including market availability Coordinate training program to improve livelihood on behalf of needy communities including women, farmers, and youth To develop progress reports based on monitoring plan and Log frame Incorporate and mainstream cross cutting thematic area such as gender DRR HRBA environment and conflict transformationFind possible opportunities to link beneficiaries with internal and external market and privte public partnership PPPIdentify with relevant stakeholder the livelihood related infrastructures to be renovated Coordinate cash for work with project team and suppt to mobilize labours and implement the projectCoordinate with the stakeholders such as department of Agriculture's, fisheries, anmal husbandary and SME for identifying resources trainers and other extension services Conduct regular field visit to monitor project progress identify problem and recommend solutionSupport the project team to initiate project planning including conduction of PRA,PNA, Base lining and necessary data collection Prepare reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly and Annually basisTrain staff on relevant subject Perform assigned related task by the project management
Requirements:Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences, Development studies or related fielD.Three years experience of working for a humanitarian aid organization in similar positionExperience of preparing various reportExcellent understanding of poverty and social exclusion and in particular barriers to the labor marketFamiliarity with donors and donor procedures helpful.Operational understanding of the procedures required for lone working when visiting the homes of project participantsExcellent communication skills and ability to work and live within a team environment;Computer proficient in Excel Word, and internetExcellent oral and written communication skills in English & Arabic.
